Ajna is the

The familiarity of Ajna being the third eye in the middle of the forehead, it is the eye of the mind, the eye
seas, the mind's eye knows.
The name of the chakra and its function is to imply both and to know and to command, rational thinking requires
deduction before conclusion, this brown chakra is not a labourious conclusion but a realisation the sixth chakra is
the first of the two head centres, is clearly connected with the mind and the higher functions of
consciousness.
Previous chakras relate to various physical systems, the brow chakra Ajna relates to the mind including the eyes
and the brain, the two petals of the chakra are like wings and are reminiscent of the two hemispheres of the
brain.
The central pericarp of the Lotus is the place of balance where the power of the left and right hemispheres work
together in harmony.
The energy of this chakra is very very subtle, and is represented by a quarter moon, the sound or mantra for
this chakra is Om.
The colour of this beautiful chakra is indigo and in its centre is a golden triangle representing the feminine
power, a golden spot represents essential energy from which we come and return.
The Ajna chakra has a deity, the deity's name is Sakti Hakini.
Opening, balancing and healing the Ajna chakra, directly improves the functioning of this
most important gland. Opening this chakra allows you to develop your intuitive, psychic nature. The more balanced
and open this center is, the greater power of intuition and insight you will have. Opening up your sixth chakra can
awaken your sixth sense, as it is known by some. Travina uses her sixth chakra to clearly hear and see in the

These Vedic models were adapted in Tibetan Buddhism as Vajrayana theory, and in the Tantric Shakta theory of
chakras.
